More than 700 scholarships are given each year, making our scholarship program one of the largest of all community colleges in California. Students are required to only fill out one application and the scholarship committee will match you with the appropriate scholarship, if you are eligible.
2014-2015 Scholarship Application file date ended on Friday, December 6 at 4 PM
Award notifications for the 2014-2015 academic year will be mailed around mid-May.
The new application filing dates for the 2015-2016 school year:
Start: Monday, August 25, 2014
Ending: Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 4 PM
2014-2015 Long Beach City College Scholarship Recipients
Fall 2014 installments are now available through Tuesday, December 16, 2014
In order to claim your Fall 2014 scholarship award, please bring the following items to the scholarship office:
- Fall 2014 class schedule ("List View" format)
- Spring 2014 grades (unofficial transcripts are acceptable)
- Fall 2014 sticker affixed to the back of your ID card if you are returning to LBCC (or proof you paid for your College Fee)

Once we have verified scholarship requirements have been met, the scholarship award(s) will be sent to the LBCC Higher One debit card/account or the student can request not to use Higher One and have a check issued directly to them.

TheDreaam.US, a national scholarship program for DREAMers who have DACA or TPS, are offering scholarships to both first time college students as well as community college graduates who want to transfer to a 4-year university to complete their bachelor’s degree.
DREAMers who have applied for or received DACA or TPS approval and meet the eligibility criteria (see TheDream.US Scholarship Guidelines) are welcome to apply. The Fall round is now opened and will receive applications until Oct. 12, 2014, 11:59 CST.

National Council of Jewish Women/ Los Angeles (NCJW/LA)
The National Council of Jewish Women/ Los Angeles (NCJW/LA) provides scholarships, regardless of religious belief, to those who live and attend school in the Greater Los Angeles area, including Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, and Ventura Counties. The highly competitive selection criteria include the ability to articulate a clear statement of goals, the likelihood of goal attainment, the personal courage & commitment of the applicant, and financial need.
