2025 Juried Student Art Show
Thur, May 1 - Sat, May 31, 2025
A tradition of LBCC, the Student Art Exhibition features the most exceptional artists from LBCC’s Visual and Media Arts department. A total of $2,000 in prizes will be awarded to three exceptional artists.
The Juried Student Art Exhibition bridges the gap between academic learning and professional practice, preparing students for careers in the arts while enriching the cultural fabric of the college and community.
OPENING RECEPTION: Thurs., May 1, 2025 | 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
CLOSING RECEPTION AND AWARD CEREMONY: Sat., May 31, 2025 | 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Student Art Prize Jury
January Parkos-Arnall, Executive Director of Compound LB, a cultural nonprofit in Long Beach, California dedicated to art, wellness, and community engagement. She previously held leadership roles at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, and the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles, where she developed innovative public programs and exhibitions. Parkos Arnall holds a PhD in Cultural Studies and Museum Theory from Claremont Graduate University, an MFA from Temple University, a BFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an Executive MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business, where she was nationally recognized.
