Alison Hoffman-Han
Professor, Film Studies
Alison Hoffman-Han teaches courses in cinema history & aesthetics, documentary, Cultural Studies, and global film cultures. She earned her Ph.D. in Cinema & Media Studies from UCLA, and has had her work published in The Journal of Japanese & Korean Cinema, Film Quarterly, as well as in the anthologies There She Goes: Feminist Filmmaking and Beyond, Billy Wilder, Movie- Maker, and Star Bodies & the Erotics of Suffering.
Professor Hoffman is dedicated to helping her students succeed within and outside of her classes. Her office door is always open to students wanting to discuss how to become a Film major (both at LBCC and upon transferring to a university), and how to identify, find, and secure resources to thrive both educationally and professionally.
