Garrett Whelan, handsome devil that he is, is a higher educational professional specializing in Computer Science, Programming, Information Technology, Information Security, Networking, Linux/UNIX, and Windows Administration.

Since 2006 he has been teaching these topics to a diverse, under-represented group of students in such a way as to make these technical and complex subjects accessible. From 2010-2013 he was the Chair of the School of IT for ITT Tech in Torrance, CA. Since September 2013 he has been a full-time professor of Cyber Security at Long Beach City College.
