Lisa Goddard Fitzgerald holds a BA from Northern Arizona University and an MA in English, along with a TESL Certificate, from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. She has taught at LBCC since 2004, with prior teaching experience at Cal Poly, UC Irvine, Orange Coast College, and Saddleback College. She primarily teaches composition courses but has also taught Introduction to Literature and College Grammar, and she especially enjoys teaching in the Honors Program. In the classroom, she challenges students to question their own assumptions and develop a stronger sense of ownership over their thinking and writing.
