I have always felt passionate and motivated about teaching, education, and the role it plays in shaping an individual’s future as well as the future of society as a whole. It became apparent to me at an early age, as a kid when I used to tutor my fellow students in various subjects, that I enjoy teaching.

I have a very diverse educational background in Mathematics, Engineering, and Education. I have two Masters, one in Applied Mathematics and one in Electrical Engineering, as well as an Ed. D in Educational Leadership. All my degrees are from California State University of Long Beach (CSULB). I am also honored to be a product of a community college; I attended Bergen Community College in New Jersey, where I received my AS degree in Science and Engineering.

I have been teaching since 1998 at several campuses and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to teach at Long Beach City College and CSULB. My engineering background and work experience in applied mathematics have helped me immensely with the utilization of technology and delivery of subject.

My philosophy of teaching is: You have to know why before you know how. I love teaching math and have the enthusiasm to help others enjoy learning it. I am a true believer in education as a never-ending process and “I believe the only way to salvation is through education.”  Always remember: Math is beautiful.
