Trisha Wilging
Student Learning Outcomes Coordinator & Subcommittee Chair
I began my education at Riverside Community College, and it was there that I developed a deeper love for literature, for teaching, and for the community college environment. Following my time at RCC, I transferred to the University of California, Riverside, where I continued to enjoy reading and any courses that allowed me to delve into texts. There I received my BA in English. I continued post-graduate work at California State University, Fullerton, where I earned my Master of Science degree in Reading Education with a view to teach at the community college level, where I had begun my own education.
I love reading, I love teaching, and I love college students. I feel very fortunate to have the privilege of getting to do something I enjoy so much every day. These books have made an impact on my life:
- The Bible
- Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen
- The Things They Carried, Tim O’Brien
- Night, Elie Wiesel
