COVID-19 Update: Student Emergency Aid Application
Students, Faculty & Staff
Dear LBCC Students,
As the public health crisis continues to unfold, we understand that it has had a direct impact on your lives. LBCC would like to continue to provide you with direct support and assistance during this difficult time. Starting on Friday, April 3rd we will launch the student emergency aid application.
What is the student emergency aid application?
This application is for students requesting one-time emergency resources/ aid to lessen the impact of a short-term, unforeseen, emergency that has negatively impacted their educational path at LBCC. Examples of requests may include aid for childcare, housing, food, transportation, technology and wellness needs.
Applications will be reviewed on an ongoing basis. We anticipate a large influx of applications when it first launches and will do our best to work through the applications as quickly as possible. Students will be contacted via email with decision information. Resources and aid will be provided in a first come first serve basis.
What are the criteria to apply?
Students enrolled in at least 6 units for the current semester may apply
How do students access the application?
Students can access the Emergency Aid Application on the COVID-19 page under the Info for Students webpage. The link to the application is also available in the Viking Student Portal.
Warm Regards,
Dr. Mike Munoz
