The Journalism program advisory board consist of experienced professionals who have worked in various aspects of the industry including newspapers, broadcast, public relations and social media. Their work has appeared in national and international media outlets such as NPR, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, Twitter and PBS as well as local outlets like the Long Beach Press Telegram, The Long Beach Business Journal and The Orange County Register. The members have advised the program on the current state of media and journalism and the possible future prospects and challenges our students may face in the fields they intend to enter.

Their advice has prompted the program to regularly acquire grants used to upgrade the multimedia gathering equipment available to our students and to tailor our course offerings to help our students succeed in their chosen fields.
