Application Information
When Should I Submit My Application?
Applications are accepted throughout the year.
How Do I Submit My Transcripts and AP Score Report?
Please submit all required materials (unofficial documents are acceptable, and a screenshot is easy to email) to the Honors Program directly by email (honors@lbcc.edu). You do not need to submit a transcript for coursework completed at LBCC, but please submit unofficial transcripts for coursework completed at any other institution.
Please note: Admissions & Records is not associated with the Honors Program and you will need to email unofficial transcripts and an unofficial AP Student Score Report (with your name on it) directly to the Honors Program even if you have already submitted those to Admissions & Records.
How Will I Find Out Whether or Not I Have Been Accepted to the Honors Program?
We will generally let you know within two weeks of receiving a complete application whether or not you have been admitted to the program. Notification will come via email, so be sure to check your junk mail folder. If you do not hear from us within this time period, it’s likely that we’re still missing part of your application. At that point, feel free to email or call us about the status of your application. Applications received in July may be processed more slowly.
Honors Program Admissions Process
Step 1: Complete the Honors Program Application
Please complete the electronic Honors Program Application.
Step 2: To enhance your application, you may ask for recommendations from current or former academic instructors
To enhance your application, especially if your GPA is below 3.25, you may obtain two recommendations (using our electronic form) from current or former academic instructors. Remember to email them your 7-digit LBCC student ID number and the link to our electronic Faculty Recommendation Form.
Step 3: Submit your transcripts and AP Score Report, if applicable
Current LBCC & transfer students: Email unofficial transcripts from any colleges other than LBCC that you have attended to the Honors Program at honors@lbcc.edu. If you have fewer than 9 graded units from LBCC, please also submit your unofficial high school transcripts.
High school students: Email your unofficial high school transcripts to the Honors Program at honors@lbcc.edu. If available, please email an unofficial copy of your AP Student Score Report (with your name on it).
