Applications for the 2024-2025 Student Equity Minigrant are open November 6, 2023 through February 29, 2024. The student equity minigrant application is web based and requires your LBCC credentials to complete the application.

Various departments and areas of the college, as well as individual faculty, staff, and student clubs can apply for a minigrant ranging from $100 – $5,000 to support a student equity project for their area, or for the campus at large. All student equity minigrants proposals should aim to close equity (obligation) gaps for one or more of our disproportionately impacted student groups along one or more of the metrics laid out in the LBCC Student Equity Plan. These grants are for one year and aimed at short-term projects to address the equity gaps at LBCC. Please note that previously-funded projects may be renewed for a maximum of one additional year, and a new minigrant request must be submitted for this additional year of funding. Proposals should seek to address student engagement, connectedness, belonging, and sense of mattering with a focus on Black/African American & first-generation students.

Important Equity Minigrant Dates:

• Applications close at 11:59 pm on February 29, 2024.
• Applicants will be invited to present their application to the Student Equity Subcommittee on March 12, 2024 (Tentative)
• Applicants will be notified the week of May 15, 2024. Minigrants will be distributed in early Fall 2024
