The Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC) supports its member institutions to advance educational quality and student learning and achievement. The commission accredits community colleges, career and technical colleges, and junior colleges according to Eligibility Requirements, Accreditation Standards, Commission Policies, and Federal Requirements. The ACCJC utilizes a peer review process when reviewing institutions. The peers involved in this process include higher education professionals and members of the public.
