CARE
Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE)
The Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) is a supplemental component of EOPS that specifically assists students who are single parents or heads of household receiving cash aid through CalWORKs/TANF. CARE offers supportive services, so students can acquire the education, training, and marketable skills needed to transition from public assistance to employment and self-sufficiency.

In addition to all EOPS benefits and services CARE students also receive:

CARE Eligibility Requirements
New Students
- Must be eligible and meet all EOPS eligibility requirements
- Submit a CARE Application and Verification of Benefits Form
- Complete mandatory intake with a CARE Support Staff
- Currently receiving CalWORKs/TANF cash aid for yourself and/or your children
- Must be declared single head of household declared by CalWORKs/TANF
- Parent must be 18 years old or older
- Have at least one child under the age of 18
Continuing Students
- Must be an active student and in compliance with EOPS
- Currently receiving CalWORKs/TANF cash aid for yourself and/or your children
- Must be declared single head of household declared by CalWORKs/TANF
- Parent must be 18 years old or older
- Have at least one child under the age of 18
- Submit a CARE Application and Verification of Benefits
