We are incredibly excited about your accomplishment! Graduation is a big deal, and we want to celebrate with you. LBCC’s Office of Student Equity is proud to offer Cultural Graduation Celebrations as an opportunity to celebrate your triumph in a culturally affirming way. These events are provided in addition to the larger college-wide Commencement Ceremony. Commencement is where your degrees are actually conferred. Below is information regarding our Cultural Graduation Celebrations.

Native Cultural Graduation Celebration

DAY/TIME: Friday, May 16th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
 

Lavender Grad Celebration (Pride)

DAY/TIME: Friday, May 23th, 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
 

APID Grad Celebration (Asian Pacific Islander Desi)

DAY/TIME: Saturday, May 24th, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
 

Black Grad Celebration (Black/African American)

DAY/TIME: Saturday, May 24th, 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.
 

RAÍCES Grad Celebration (Latina/o/x)

DAY/TIME: Saturday, May 24th, 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
 

NOTE: Cultural Graduation Celebrations are distinct from the college’s Commencement Ceremony. Commencement is where your degrees are actually conferred.
