Viking Pathways provides students with structured academic pathways with intentional supports as students enter, move through, and earn an award or transfer to a four-year college or university. This process helps ensure we reduce student expenses on classes they may not need, clarify what classes will be needed to reach their goal, and connect students with staff and faculty for timely resources.
The following agendas and minutes outline the discussions in creating and integrating the Guided Pathways model into Long Beach City College. In addition to these documents are many resources that help describe the process by which Guided Pathways can help community college and its students achieve success by creating more structured educational experiences.
Making the Long Beach City College educational experience work better for students includes all of us – whether we work as counselors developing educational plans and exploring career options with students, or as faculty members teaching a class, or as staff members processing purchase orders and keeping the grounds beautiful.
