Professor Sicklick has an MS in Information Security Engineering from SANS Technology Institute, an MS in Applied Computer Science and Technology from Azusa Pacific University, and a BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from New York Maritime College.

He is a retired Commander, Information Professional, from the U.S. Navy Reserves. He has certifications in Ethical Hacking, Forensics, Networking, and Project Management. 

He started at Long Beach City College as a part-time faculty member in 2022.
