Afterschool and Summer Programs
No-cost program for children 5-18 years old at the Liberal Arts Campus in partnership with the Long Beach Boys & Girls Clubs. -
Basic Needs
The Basic Needs program provides help to students who face hunger and housing insecurity. -
CalFresh
The CalFresh Program, formerly known as Food Stamps, helps low-income
households increase their food-buying power. Benefits are issued through an
EBT card and can be used in grocery stores and participating Farmers Markets.
Eligibility is based on income and is open to children, U.S. citizens, and certain
non-citizens.

CalWORKs
If you are low-income and have not applied for CalWORKs, please apply with the Department of Public Social Services. Apply here -
CARE
CARE (Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education) is a supplement to EOPS that supports single parents or heads of household receiving cash aid from CalWORKs or TANF. -
Child Development Centers
LBCC’s Child Development Centers offer half-day and full-day preschool programs for children ages 2-5. They serve children of students, faculty, staff, and the community, with locations at both the Liberal Arts Campus and the Trades, Technology, and Community Learning Campus open year-round. -
Mental Health Services
Mental Health Services (MHS) is dedicated to promoting student mental health and wellbeing. We support students in achieving their academic, professional, and personal goals while helping them overcome challenges to enhance retention and success.
