LBCC Water Polo Coach Chris Oeding Heads to Paris Olympics
LBCC has a proud connection with Olympic Water Polo Success
It is an exciting Summer for Long Beach City College (LBCC) Vikings Water Polo Head Coach Chris Oeding, who was first inducted into the USA Water Polo Hall of Fame on June 7, and will now head to Paris for his third trip to the Olympics as a coach.
Since 2000, Oeding has served as head coach for the LBCC water polo and swimming programs, leading them to six state championships. In 2013, he joined the staff of the US women’s national team as an assistant coach, a role he has served in for five World Championships.

Long Beach, CA – California Youth Leadership Corps (CYLC) in partnership with Long Beach City College (LBCC) launched a new community change learn-and-earn career pathway in Public and Community Health. This unique nine-month fellowship program aims to prepare historically marginalized students to become community organizers and change agents in their local communities.

The Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD) Board of Trustees approved at the June 26 Board of Trustees meeting the selection of Ms. Kendra Madrid, MS as Vice President of Workforce and Economic Development, Mr. Michael Gregoryk, MS as Acting Vice President of Administrative & Business Services, and Ms. Gita Runkle, MBA as Dean of the School of Career Education for Long Beach City College (LBCC).
