Programs and Trainings
The Long Beach City College Workforce Development Department is committed to empowering communities and strengthening the regional economy by providing high-quality, inclusive, and industry-responsive education, training, and career pathways. We foster partnerships with industry, community organizations, and government agencies to ensure our learners gain the skills, credentials, and support needed to thrive in today’s evolving workforce.
The Programs and Trainings Team equip students with the skills and credentials needed to meet regional workforce demands while supporting employers in building a pipeline of industry-ready talent. Through targeted outreach, we recruit participants from priority populations and connect them to industry-aligned training programs that combine technical instruction with wraparound support. Participants gain hands-on experience through work-based learning opportunities like internships, apprenticeships, on-the-job training, and earn professional certifications.
Upon completion, our team connects candidates to the Placement Services Team for assistance and follow-up support to promote lasting career success and inclusive hiring across the community.
