LBCC Fashion Show

Overview

The LBCC Fashion Show

The LBCC fashion shows showcase original designs created by design students in the fashion program.  Students created a sketch of their concept, created a flat pattern or drape, and then constructed the garments themselves.

Produced by FD41 Fashion Promotion Class, design and merchandising students worked on each stage of the show’s production, from securing sponsorships and building the set to casting models and choosing hair and makeup teams. They select a DJ, find sponsors, and create the graphics and promote the fashion show.

The fashion show draws over 600 attendees, features 100-125 student designs, professional and student models, and is judged by a panel of industry professionals.  Students leave with professional images of their garments walking down the runway to use in their portfolio.
